Ill be honest. I dont really fuck with the hipster crowd scene at all, but over the years since the Do has gained so much popularity.. a lot of hipsters attend. Yet, at the same time, this event brought to you by Jamie Strong, Aloe Blacc, & Chris Haycock will be the place I’ll be a part of… hipsterville or not. Mind you, this party does bring people together from all areas of scenes that everyone’s a part of. It definitely has something for everyone. Since I havent had my fix since a year ago, I guess you can say I’ll be attending this year’s extravaganza this time around. Plus, I havent seen any of my homies in quite sometime…

Well, this week is already Halloween weekend, so let’s get right into it. The Do-Over crew doesnt fail when it comes to throwing their sunday shindigs, so to see this costume-themed party happening again for the 6th year isnt surprising! So, who’s going… and who’s actually going to be late this time?

Do-Over News…

Yes, for those who are just getting the news (like myself): They’re MOVING. AGAIN.

First off, we would like to thank all the folks at El Cid for trying to cater to the party, but it was just too difficult with the noise and neighbors in that area. We looked at a bunch of locations in LA and we are pretty confident that we found the right place to continue the ride this summer.

We are now back to our Hollywood roots and next door to Amoeba!!!

Maaannnnn…. I was just talking to Haycock not too long ago about how dope this event will be over at El Cid because of how spacious the spot is! But daaaamn, after how the party was abruptly ended around 8pm a couple of weeks back (damn neighbors), it just went down hill from there. I could only imagine what they must’ve gone through trying to find a spot within a week’s time!

The good news is that they dont have to deal with the neighbors anymore, except for those who they have close in common with: AMOEBA! So, mark your calendars with the new (and hopefully, final) location!

The Do-Over [x2]: Memorial Day Weekend (NY & LA) [05/29 & 05/30]!

This sunday (05/30), the Do-Over residential crew will be in Brooklyn, so New York, you better be ready! Dont worry folks, the same party will still be happenin’ over at El Cid (w/some other DJs to bring you the tunes)! Plus, there will be a special Do-Over party on Monday afternoon too. Be sure to check the bottom for the details..

Do-Over Los Angeles (2011): El Cid [05/15]!

Finally, the sangria-stain-wrecking-your-clothes-during-a-long-HOT-summer (Season #7) begins back in Los Angeles! The crew have been ‘taking their talents’ (c/o King James) to Miami, Austin, Hawaii, and out in Palm Springs (Presidents’ Day Weekend)! According to their timeline, they will be taking their talents to New York and out the country (Finland) for the Flow Festival!
