Hosted by the homie Jessica (iHEART Dilla) and sponsored by yours truly, the WIB fam, and the rest of her affiliates, this event is purposely for the artists, BY THE ARTISTS. One of my favorite independent artists is linking up with Rugged N Raw to bring you this special event; just in case you havent noticed the title, I strongly suggest you check it again.
This event will feature performances by Top $ Raz & Rugged N Raw themselves, Hasan Salaam, The Bugnanas (Phase One & Asa Buchanon), Rock Star Society (RSNY), and the man behind the sounds will be DJ Jon Blak. It’s cheap for entry, so make sure you make your way out to Sullivan Hall next month!
If you want to achieve anything or need something/anything done.. just do it yourself. Take credit for your own shit.
The Foreign Exchange: Authenticity Tour [July 2011]!
Here are the rest of the tour dates (West Coast) for the Foreign Exchange. According to the original picture, it seems like they took a month off after wrapping up the midwest takeover! So, for all of you westerners, I hope that you guys are ready and prepared for Phonte, Nicolay, and the rest of the crew to hit center stage when they hit Oregon, Washington, & California! Some of the other days that are currently TBA I hope to fill in those blanks with an update, so stay tuned!
New York: iHD’s (iHEART Dilla) 2 Year Anniversary Celebration [06/19]!
Over the span of two years, you’ve seen Jessica bring you The Independence Day Show (online w/Da Beatminerz) and at Southpaw w/The Mad Bloggers, and have a dope team that wrote up articles on many indie/underground hiphop artists. The team has effortlessly spread their music and spoke on various topics like my favorite: The Internet Is 98% Saturated Fat (by Top $ Raz). If you’ve came out to her last year’s celebration, be sure to come out to this one in a couple of weeks! She got the West Coast (Those Chosen) to come out and rep on our behalf! Event is taking place at Sullivan Hall, and its an 18+ event. Come out and support some fresh acts that will be in the place!

This night has been two years in the making. Like many sites, I started with a simple mission – support and feature good music. Now, thousands of posts later, iHEARTDilla celebrates two years on in the internet – which is like 10 years on the internet. Sunday, June 19th, with the help of some very talented artist who have all had their fair share of features on iHD, we celebrate. Sullivan Hall will play host to a night of good music and great company for the iHD Two Year Anniversary Celebration. So join me, Homeboy Sandman, Sleepwalkas, Brokn.Englsh, Those Chosen, Top $ Raz, Kalae ALLDay, O.I.S.D., New Rap Order & The Underdogz on June 19th.

The documentary that the world has been waiting to see for over at year has finally received dates for showtimes! It’s been a long, and hard battle between Michael Rapaport & Q-Tip (who at first didnt support this project), but explained later why he didnt. Now, all the ATCQ fans will get to see the documentary first hand when it hit their cities. More details down below..

Local support comes from none other than DJ Shortkut (Beat Junkies | Triple Threat) & DJ Platurn (45 Sessions | Oakland Faders). Advance tickets are available through Eventbrite.com. Doors at 9PM, 21 and up.
In the age of digital DJing it is seldom that you get to hear an all vinyl set an entire night, let alone 45’s. Vinyl will supply us with a warmer, richer sound, while MIGHTY’s Richard Long and Associates analog system will set the organic feel for a classic night of music.

I’m leaving California…
….for hopefully two weeks. Word Is Bond has became a sponsor for the festival, and is sending me to Atlanta to cover it for three days. So I’ll be covering various things like panel discussions, meet-and-greets/in-store related events, performances, and backstage stuff. The rest of my time out of California will hopefully be spent in New York (but we’ll see if I get to cross that bridge). For now, it’s ATL on my schedule…
It’ll be my third trip outside of California, second time documented on here since my DC one.
