Wow, it has been a while since I’ve got the opportunity to post up events in forever, and I know I’ve been slippin’ on it. I’ve been caught up with a lot and I’ve been lazy at times as well. Anyhow, the homie has come through again to bring you another dope event to check out at Zanzibar this tuesday evening!
If you can recall, KRS-ONE & Mad Lion have collaborated on a few tracks in the past. This tuesday, you can see them together performing live while sharing the stage with KCRW’s own (and the homie) Anthony Valadez, with the host KG Superstar. Tickets are on sale right now, so hurry up and cop them while they’re available!
I had a great time coming out to this show, thanks to the homies who I rolled with. Thanks to Kenya w/ Project Live, Jae Nice, Mic Holden, GETEM!, TheeDopeShow, my sister Alice, Candice, Jessica, and for everyone else who was in attendance!

As part of his People Hear What They See tour, the Mello Music Group leader will be stopping by Santa Monica to perform live w/his band at the newly reformed Dakota Lounge. I missed him while I was in Atlanta, so this show will make up for it! Tickets are pretty cheap right now, so hurry up and cop them!
Shoutout to #ProjectLiveLA & RK Entertainment for putting this together!
The Mello Music Group leader ODDISEE will be making his West Coast stop here in Santa Monica at the Dakota Lounge (fka Temple Bar), where he’ll be performing with a live band. He’s currently on tour, so this will be one of his last few dates left on the tour! Better come check him out while you can! He’s going to be performing live with his band!
Shoutout to Project Live LA on this event!
If you have been to the last producer’s showcase which honored DJ Khalil, then you can’t miss this event right here! This time around it’s not going to take place at Zanzibar; it’ll be at Busby’s East in West LA. Check out all the dope features who will be participating in this special event below..
If you have yet to come check out a Project Live showcase, now here’s your opportunity. As a definite fan of new talent, I’ve been attending Project Live/RK Entertainment‘s events for quite some time, and I have been impressed with the authenticity of the type of events they’ve thrown, especially the talent they have on the flyer. This time around is no different.
Roc Nation‘s newest signee Bridget Kelly will be headlining this event alongside BJ The Chicago Kid (who’s a feature on Thurzday’s LA Riot album). Also, Avriel Epps & 1-O.A.K. (of Honor Roll Crew) will be gracing the stage as well! Get your presale tickets while they last.
Sorry for the long delay. Here is proof that I’m trying to make it happen. I’ve been trying to fix them up by getting rid of the noise on the pictures! It’s been taking me forever since I’ve taken LOTS of pictures. If you want to see some of the pictures I’ve taken at Beat Swap Meet, go to Word Is Bond.
As far as the WTT afterparty pictures, they’re almost done. It’s not easy trying to pull through with everything being hectic around holiday time. I’m exhausted, and the fact that my not having internet access at home either is making it difficult to getting things done. But if you want, respond here and I’ll email them to you quickly then…
I do apologize for the long delay. I really do.
Yes, and no one is doing it like the Liv Life Specialists! And it’s free, so hurry & RSVP for the event before the list is full! It’s this sunday in DTLA.
Big Pooh‘s anticipated album Dirty Pretty Things is scheduled to drop next week, so he’s going to be celebrating over at Zanzibar with a few of his cohorts, brought to you by Project LIVE & Ty Cannon! If you havent heard the album yet, go check the sampler over on the Word Is Bond page! Special guests for the night include Mic Holden, NO ONE (Noni Spitz & Dae One), Thurzday (who will be hosting), and KIDA! DJs for the night will be Bodega’s Cee Brown, DJ 7, and DJ Spill! The door cover is cheap, so come thru!
