Project Live LA Presents: KRS-ONE x MAD LION [02/26]!

Wow, it has been a while since I’ve got the opportunity to post up events in forever, and I know I’ve been slippin’ on it. I’ve been caught up with a lot and I’ve been lazy at times as well. Anyhow, the homie has come through again to bring you another dope event to check out at Zanzibar this tuesday evening!

If you can recall, KRS-ONE & Mad Lion have collaborated on a few tracks in the past. This tuesday, you can see them together performing live while sharing the stage with KCRW’s own (and the homie) Anthony Valadez, with the host KG Superstar. Tickets are on sale right now, so hurry up and cop them while they’re available!

Oddisee will be coming to Santa Monica next weekend (11/04)!

As part of his People Hear What They See tour, the Mello Music Group leader will be stopping by Santa Monica to perform live w/his band at the newly reformed Dakota Lounge. I missed him while I was in Atlanta, so this show will make up for it! Tickets are pretty cheap right now, so hurry up and cop them!

As a definite fan of new talent, I’ve been attending Project Live/RK Entertainment‘s events for quite some time, and I have been impressed with the authenticity of the type of events they’ve thrown, especially the talent they have on the flyer. This time around is no different.

Roc Nation‘s newest signee Bridget Kelly will be headlining this event alongside BJ The Chicago Kid (who’s a feature on Thurzday’s LA Riot album). Also, Avriel Epps & 1-O.A.K. (of Honor Roll Crew) will be gracing the stage as well! Get your presale tickets while they last.

I have to admit that I’ve heard about this artist from many people, including seeing this person featured on many sites/blogs, etc., but I have yet to hear her music (yes, and you’re probably wondering ‘why’). I’m not going to get into that; besides… my reasons have nothing to do with her. Anyways, this event is definitely for the fans, as well as for those of you who are looking for someone new to listen to. By the way, I’ll be there to check it out firsthand, and umm.. I dig live performances alot more than something on mp3 nowadays. It’s going to be a fun night…
