This sunday, Beat Swap Meet will be celebrating four years of being in existence over at their Grand Star Jazz Club home. Also, DJ Revolution will be vending there for the first time as a special guest DJ as well. There will be all sorts of stuff going on, from drum circles, to bboy/girl battles, live performances from 2MEX, Free Moral Agents, and the band Buyepongo, live art, and a live screen painting by Hit+Run Crew. There’s definitely going to be all sorts of things going on this sunday, so bring your kids and make it a family affair! It’s going on from noon-6pm!

Sorry for the long delay. Here is proof that I’m trying to make it happen. I’ve been trying to fix them up by getting rid of the noise on the pictures! It’s been taking me forever since I’ve taken LOTS of pictures. If you want to see some of the pictures I’ve taken at Beat Swap Meet, go to Word Is Bond.
As far as the WTT afterparty pictures, they’re almost done. It’s not easy trying to pull through with everything being hectic around holiday time. I’m exhausted, and the fact that my not having internet access at home either is making it difficult to getting things done. But if you want, respond here and I’ll email them to you quickly then…
I do apologize for the long delay. I really do.

If you want to check out the pictures for the last event, click here. This sunday is going down again, and it’s the OFFICIAL Beat Swap Meet Afterparty! It’s going to be a smooth night, so come out and relax. Unwind…

Next sunday, Beat Swap Meet will be having its 16th event going down at Grand Star. If you have yet to attend, make sure you make it out this time around! This event has been around for over 2 years and its an awesome vibe to be a part of! There’s a lot going on that day, and later on that evening, the folks of Straight Ahead Sundays will be hosting the official afterparty later on that evening!
The location of the afterparty will be at The Association bar in DTLA (Main/6th; see map), which will be held from 7pm-1am. It’s free.. so just come out and unwind! Ill be taking pictures.. so get at me if you want to get shot lol.

You guys know what time it is! We’re back at it again next weekend!

Had to bring this back up. You know where its going down…

Here are the visuals on what went down over at the Beat Swap Meet (that happened 10 days ago). Wow, am I THAT late in posting this? Better late than never, right? Enjoy! I do apologize….

Here we are, back at it again! The fam is going to be doing it big this time around. It’s seriously imperative for everyone to at least donate (a canned good) for the cause, because if you see how the family operates you know that this [in a sense] a non-profit organizing event! The vendors are here for you, and plus the entertainment is always free! The only thing that costs are the stuff you buy from the vendors, or the drinks you buy at the bar! The crew and everyone involved is doing this for you with no gain from it,… well, except to meet cool people, that is!
The celebration will begin on March 13th, and the location is in Chinatown at the Grand Star Jazz Club, so be sure to come out early and be a part of the movement!

Wow, Northern California is gonna get a taste of LA? This is definitely serious! The BSM homies are linking up with Sacramento’s Sol Collective to bring you one of the dopest vinyl-digging events ever created in LA! But, knowing the homies they always have something in store. Make sure you come out and support! For those who want to participate in vending for this event, make sure you check the flyer for the info to do that.
TEF (Traditional Entrance Fee): $5.. or you can bring canned goods! Beat Swap Meet is all about giving back to the community.
ATTN: ALL NORCAL DJs (yes, ALL OF YOU).. you better be here for the experience! Starts at noon..

[I do apologize for the lateness of this post. My laptop broke down]
Things took off quite slowly over at the Beat Swap Meet [probably because of the Lakers game/two huge football games that went on during the day], but that didnt stop those that were in the midst of Chinatown from checking out the dope set up that the fam provided for the public! As many times I’ve been to the BSM, the surrounding areas wasnt as busy as it was yesterday! It was craaaaaazy! There were new vendors that joined the crew, providing all sorts of paraphernalia for the customers, new folks that came by and witnessed the Beat Swap Meet for the first time, and for the first time it dawned on me: WOMEN DO LOVE DIGGING IN THE CRATES (guys take notice lol)! I’m not saying that it hasnt occured, because you’ve seen that in my pictures of past BSM events, buuuuuuut my taking notice of that is just an acknowledgement that in addition to seeing the few women that do love that good hiphop shit at shows, that us as men have to appreciate these female diggers. So with that being said, ladies.. I salute you!
